Fruit

You have a lot of fruit you want to store, but don’t know how to do it.

Freezing is the best way to extend the shelf life of your produce and keep them fresh for months.

We’ve got everything you need to know about freezing fruits in this section!

Here are some tips on how to freeze Fruit:

1. Wash and peel fruit – Cut fruit into pieces or slices – Place on a parchment-lined tray – Put in the freezer overnight – Place the frozen fruit into a plastic bag and seal tightly – Place in a container/bag of water to keep it fresh

2. For whole fruits, such as berries, grapes, cherries, wash them first. Put them onto a lined baking sheet and freeze for about 4 hours.

3. Slice or peel your fruit before freezing it to make it easier to thaw later. This works well with bananas, apples, pears, oranges and nectarines. Freeze for at least three hours before enjoying cold fruit juice on a hot summer day!

4. Peeled bananas are easy to thaw on the counter for use in fruit smoothies.

5. You can also freeze leftover fruit juice into ice cubes for refreshing fruit juices that your kids will love!
